Sending Bank Notes
Sending bank notes might be the cheapest way to transfer money, since there are no costs connected with the handling of the money.
This is best done by a person whom you trust and who is travelling to Germany anyway.
Otherwise there are some pitfalls to be aware of:
- using „snail mail” is not always reliable, as you probably have experienced yourself
- FEDEX or some other special service might be an alternative, but since we hardly ever use it we can give no advice on that
- the rules concerning money laundering are different in different countries
- you should ask what the rules are in your country so that you don't run the risk of your money being confiscated by customs or another official institution.
