In July 2008 the Synagogue won the „Monument of the Month” Award
In 2004 the Monuments' Foundation Baden-Württemberg began to bestow the title „Monument of the Month” for both cultural importance and the engagement for preserving a monument.
In July 2008 the synagogue in Steinsfurt was elected.
It was the first time that a building in the Kraichgau got this award.
In its press release the Monuments' Foundation emphasized the role of the project-work of the four schools that were involved. So the award is a reward for the long successful cooperation between the organisation Alte Synagoge Steinsfurt e.V. and the Gymnasiums in Sinsheim, Neckarbischofsheim and Eppingen and the Realschule Waibstadt. Above all, the engagement of the students in a variety was honored. They so helped to make an ever increasing public become aware of the importance of the synagogue.
